The Houston Texans have no choice but to part ways, and move on, from their franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson.
The NFL offseason has been dominated by stories saying that Watson will never put on a Texans uniform again. It has been reported that Watson would go so far as to sit out regular season games to force his way out of Houston.
Even if the Texans vehemently disagree with Watson having all this power, and ability to hold the team hostage so he could get his way, the Houston Texans should put their opinions on the matter aside and aggressively pursue a suitor for one of the best quarterbacks in the National Football League.
The fact of the matter is that the longer Houston waits to move off Watson, the worse the return on their investment becomes. This is because with the NFL Draft a little more than a month away, and free agency right around the corner, teams will begin to make other arrangements at the quarterback position if Houston continues to drag their feet with Watson.
Watson should be moved before the 2021 NBA Draft for the Houston Texans to get the biggest haul. If the Texans continue to hold out on trading Watson, it will be another instance of incompetent management by Texans management.
