The Philadelphia Eagles Are Officially On The Clock

The Philadelphia Eagles have a huge problem on their hands.

The Eagles front office has found out the hard way that quarterback Carson Wentz is not worth as much as they thought when they first placed Wentz on the trading block.

It has been reported the Eagles were expecting Wentz to return a first round pick, but the teams that have called about Wentz are offering a second round pick as the starting point of any possible trade.

Even though the Eagles are disappointed Wentz is not as valuable as they previously thought, it is obvious when looking at Wentz’s career as a whole.

Wentz was the worst quarterback in football this past season and has been on a downward trajectory for three straight seasons. Any team that trades for Wentz has no idea which quarterback they will be getting.

Will he be the quarterback that was the MVP front runner before tearing his ACL in 2017, or the player that has been regressing every season since then?

Reports have also been circulating that Wentz is not coachable and he is not a leader that his fellow teammates hold in high regard.

Any team that trades a first round pick for Wentz would be out of their mind. Wentz is one of the most inconsistent players in all of football, and the Eagles are desperate to trade him away.

Carson Wentz is a depreciating asset and the Eagles will end up getting pennies on the dollar for the former second overall pick.
