Ranking Final Eight NFL Playoff Teams

Buffalo Bills: Buffalo was outplayed for virtually the entire game against the Indianapolis Colts, but were able to hang on and advance. Quarterback Josh Allen is invaluable to Buffalo, and Allen willed the Bills to a 27-24 victory on Wild Card Weekend. The Bills did nothing on Saturday to get knocked off the perch of being the best team in the league but must play better against the Ravens this weekend.

Green Bay Packers: The Packers have been the best team in the NFC all season, and nothing has changed entering Green Bay’s first playoff game. The Packers are the odds-on favorite to represent the NFC in Super Bowl LV.

Kansas City Chiefs: Kansas City has struggled all season to close out inferior teams, and the defending champions enter their first playoff game as an enigma of sorts. It is difficult to judge how good this team is.

Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens stayed red hot and avenged last season’s playoff loss by defeating the Tennessee Titans 20-13. Baltimore will be led by their defense and running game for the remainder of their playoff run. Baltimore is playing its best football of the season at this very moment.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Tampa Bay has finally put all the pieces together and is playing well entering the Divisional Round. Tom Brady, at 43 years of age, has hit his stride over the last five weeks of the NFL season.

New Orleans Saints: The Saints got a virtual walkover when they hosted the Chicago Bears on Wild Card Weekend. Even though the Saints won by 12 points, their offense did not look very sharp against Chicago.

Cleveland Browns: Cleveland shocked the football world and won their first playoff game since 1994 when they defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 48-37. The Browns were never in any jeopardy of losing to Pittsburgh which makes it tough to judge how they truly performed last Sunday.

Los Angeles Rams: The Rams were able to go on the road and defeat the division foe Seattle Seahawks. The Rams defense stifled Russell Wilson and the Seahawks defense even without any production from the quarterback position.
