In What May Be Last Career Game, Drew Brees Falls Flat On His Face

If Sunday night was the final game of Hall of Famer Drew Brees' career, it could not have ended on a worse note.

Before the Saints Divisional Round matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it was widely reported that Brees would not return next season and the 2020-2021 NFL season would be his last.

For the third consecutive season, the Saints lost a home playoff game, and Sunday was one of the worst games of Brees’ career.

Brees was stifled all day by a Tampa Bay defense that forced four turnovers, three of which were interceptions by Brees.

Brees, 41, only threw for 134 yards on Sunday and had a paltry passer rating of 38.1 on Sunday in New Orleans. Brees’ skillset has been declining the past few seasons as the future Hall of Famers arm strength has only gotten worse.

Brees had a historic 15 year run in New Orleans, but all good things must come to an end, and it is best for both parties to go their separate ways this offseason.
